Lynda Gibson – HMP Maghaberry
The last year has been one of opportunity and blessings as I continue to serve as the Presbyterian Chaplain in HMP Maghaberry. Relationships were developed and trust strengthened with both prison and prison officer, and this has resulted in meaningful and spiritual conversations. It remains a privilege to be part of the process that seeks to rehabilitate those who are being punished for their criminal behaviour and to minister to those who work in the prison. Each day brings new challenges as along with my fellow chaplains we seek to reflect Christ’s love and compassion to a captive audience, for whom these two words often have little relevance.
